why I picked it: I had not heard of bodyguard at all until it was nominated for best drama at the Emmys. That begs the question: what makes this show special enough to get a Best Drama nod, but not special enough to be a show laypeople are watching? Is it simply that Americans have trouble developing interest in British politics, and  Bodyguard is a legitimate phenomenon?

what I liked: David is a wonderful protagonist. He’s great at his job
